Sales and purchase invoices

Invoices live under Invoicing: Receivables for what customers owe you, Payables for what you owe suppliers.

Issue a sales invoice

1. Under Receivables, open Sales Invoice and create a new one.
2. Choose the customer and add the items.
3. Check the total and the tax.
4. Select Submit.

Record a purchase invoice

1. Under Payables, open Purchase Invoice and create a new one.
2. Choose the supplier and add the items.
3. Select Submit.

If you answered yes to purchase orders, a purchase order must come before you receive goods.

Why Submit matters

A saved invoice is still a draft. It reaches your accounts only when you select Submit.
